My assemblage work is both simple and complex at the same time. It is born from simple material choices that evolve into complex narratives. Regardless of what I am working on, the process is always the same. I sift through piles of materials. This may include wood, metal, plastic, earth materials or found objects. During this time, I discover the inherent character and subtle nuances of each finding. As I bring parts and pieces together, they form connections. It is the dialogue of materials and how they occupy space that embodies the intent of my work.
